Profile

Bosch Home Appliances, one rotation in Oak Ridge, TN. The primary product: one of the world’s fastest ice makers, and high-end refrigerators. I worked in Quality/Design, and helped analyze failure data from refrigerators and helped design parts and make drawings for future refrigerators. I worked for one summer and fall rotation with Siemens Healthineers in Knoxville, TN. Their primary product: PET/CT Scanners. I worked in the Product development group and helped design parts for patient handler system, also conducted life cycle and thermal cycling tests for patient handler system. My final two work assignments were both an internship with Amazon Lab 126 in the summer of 2022 and 2023 in Sunnyvale, CA. The primary product at this site was consumer electronics: the echo devices. My first summer I worked in the Hardware Reliability group and helped create a component level test to reduce in-field failures for specific part also revised current product level validation test to match current use case. My second internship was with the Product Design group and I helped design and prototype different parts.
I’m really passionate about engineering and want to work on the coolest technology but in order to do that I needed to gain experience and knowledge, so I took co-ops as an opportunity to learn as much as possible about the things I want to do and the skills necessary to do what I want to do. Co-ops are also a great opportunity to save money for college I have been able to take out about 80% less loans since freshman year from working co-ops and internships.

Before I did a Co-op i thought you had to know everything the first day, but you learn mostly everything on the job. Learning this has gave me more confidence going into new roles and has also lessened my imposters syndrome.

Having hands on experience has helped me see what engineering really is and has helped me narrow down what I want to do with my degree. Academically it has given me the opportunity to see things go from conceptual and theory to real life application, this has helped me connect the dots. Don’t worry about delaying your graduation having a co-op on your resume will have a big impact on getting the jobs you want after college.

I love watching anime and reading manga, I also love playing all type of sports from basketball to football.

Hard works beats everything, no matter where you came from or when you started. If you work hard enough, you can accomplish anything!
